“On January 1, 1987, AB 2926 enacted Government Code sections 65995 and 53080, which authorizes school districts to levy a developer fee on new construction, for the purpose of paying their required share of school building construction. The fee is levied based on the square footage of residential and commercial/industrial building.”

“Benefit Nexus: The developer fees to be collected by the El Dorado Union High School District will be used for the provision of additional and reconstructed or modernized school facilities. This will benefit the students to be generated by new development by providing them with adequate educational school facilities.”
